A Review on Happy Skin’s Shut Up and Kiss Me|First Kiss

Happy Skin is known for its unique branding and very pretty packaging 😉 When hubby and I are looking for dresses in the mall, I entered Plains and Prints when I saw the booth of Happy Skin. The Saleslady entertained me and say “Ma’am we had a similar shade you’re wearing but won;t dry your lips.” Oooops! I never noticed that my lips is that dry already! 😦 (I’m wearing candy yum yum by the way :(). She ushered me to the different colors and the color that really grabbed my attention is the First Kiss. It is a warm pink in shade but really brightens your look. The lipstick looked like the jumbo crayon I used to have on my gradeschool. The first thing I noticed about this matte lipstick is that it doesn’t feel dry on my lips. It is rich in moisture and very light it seems that you were just wearing a lip balm! 🙂 Yay for that! Definitely a go-to lipstick. If you wanted to look sweet and subtle, this one’s for you gal! 😉 Perfect for a day look and even a party night. It also ‘sulit” for a P499.00 and it will really lasts long. It stays even when you eat, drink or kiss ;-). It is really easy to manage and apply. Just a sweep and you were all set. It blends easily and you don’t need to become an expert on putting lipstick on wearing this one. I will definitely buy another tube when I’m done with this one. 🙂

LA Splash Smitten Liptint Mousse Review

Hello there pals! I am going to write about a review of LA Splash Smitten Liptint Mousse. I got to stumble upon this product through my friend. I purchased two shades which is 14302 – Inflamed and 14304 – Enchanted. This will be my second attempt on wearing lip tints the first one is from Nyx Cosmetics.

I am so excited to try this product because its something new for me. But I got quite disappointed that the actual color is a bit different from the swatches. IKR! Swatches should be close to reality because this will guide on you the colors you will choose.

When I opened the tube, I notice that the smell is kind of intimidating. 😦 The applicator is okay, the size and the softness. It has a highly pigmented and creamy texture. When applied, it feels that you were really like painting your lips. Argh! 😕 It is easily absorbed and dries very fast upon application. Though the actual color is a bit different from what I have expected from the swatches, the color suits me well and I love them on my lips specially it really look good on pictures. However, you need to master the application because it is quite hard to control so, no! this is not for beginners. I also noticed that it leaves stains on my mugs, bottles, glass and spoons whenever I’m wearing it. Sad. 😦 It also dried my lips and turn flaky and leave a not so appealing stain on my lips after I have eaten my lunch. Sadly, even though I like the color on my lips, maybe I will not purchase this anymore. It’s quite expensive for a P650 tube and yet it can’t last even for a day and you really need lots of petroleum jelly to hydrate your pucker. 😦 😦 😦

Manila Coloring Books | A review of on online seller of Adult Coloring Books

Lately, I’ve been crazy about this Adult Coloring Book craze that according to studies I have read, is most helpful to cope up wih the daily stress that life is giving to you. A new-found hobby that is very much addicting. At first, I was contented on printing free downloadable printable online but then, I wasn’t contented and wanted to try the books available. So I went for a search on IG on where can I buy books affordably and comfortably (yes! I find it more comfortable to shop online because if you find the right shop, it will give you a no hassle transactions).

After the long search, I stumbled upon the shop of @manilacoloringbooks. Like the usual negotiations, I added the shop on my viber contacts, asked for the details like the availability of my chosen book, the cost and the shipping fee.

The seller named Josephine is very much accommodating. She is very much patient on handling my queries and my fast changing choices. 🙂 So when I’ve finally decided my chosen books to purchase (see pictures below) Ms.Josephine confirmed my orders, and payed thru Online transfer at exactly 8am.

When I finally confirmed my order eventhough she haven’t received the proof of payment yet (due to slow internet connection) she already prepared and shipped my orders! Yay for her! I wasn’t expecting my orders to arrive at the same day because I know that shipping takes atleast a minimum of 1-3 working days. But then, I am really much surprised that at around 1 ‘o clock PM the rider is texting and trying to contact me that he is already at our place and finding it hard to find the exact gate of our house so I fetch him at the store he stopped. Kuya is very much kind and really tried hard to find or house and contact me just to deliver my orders even on a very rainy day. By the way, her courrier is Grab Express.

Snowy Flowers | A review of Snowy Flower Bulacan’s Online Shop

I’ve been thinking a gift for a friend’s birthday when suddenly I remembered that a friend is selling cute stuffs from her online store so I browsed on her IG wall and thought that Snowy Flowers is perfect.

The pretty, sweet, accommodating online seller is Posh who is actually a former colleague and became my friend when I purchased some items that I used as a prize during my wedding (I was hoping I could write on that one too!).

Let’s go back with the Snowy Flowers.

At first I thought that these flowers were not real, they look like plastic and it’s really tiny, but when I got to ask Posh and read stuffs about the flower (see photos below). She also has different arrangements and containers for you to choose from depending on your budget.

I purchased the bike arrangement because I find it cute and hey, I’m on a budget you know! 😉 I got two bike for P300 because its on sale for the whole month of September (hurry! grab yours now!) and additional P150 for the 6 lady bugs.

The package arrived immediately a day after our transaction, just when I needed it because I wont be at the office for the ff. days. Notice that it came from Bulacan and my office is Makati based.

I immediately unwrapped the package and inspect the contents (luckily, my friend is not around at that time). I am really happy opening the box because it’s really cute and amazes me because it is really real! Posh told me that these flowers lasts up to 10 years adn really need just a little maintenance because yoou only need to water the plant for about two to three times a week. Amazing huh?!

I ran into my drawer and put a ribbon to the already posh (as the seller owns it :-)) box (no need to wrap because of its cute packaging). When my friend arrived, I gave it to her and she immediately opened it. It made me more happier when I see the smiles it brings into her because she really liked it! She even asked if it has a bigger version of the  flower. Truly a perfect gift idea. You can never go wrong with these lovelies.

To date, I am very fond seeing it sitting on my table and watch it closes when I water them and opens after it dries. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Maybelline New York’s Great Lash Waterproof Mascara Review

The second thing that makeup bag couldn’t leave without, the mascara! I’ve had mid-long lashes however, the strands were very thin that’s why I am very much obsessed with mascaras who will give a more volume and longer lashes. On my search for a new one to try, while I was browsing my FB feed, I saw cosmo.ph post about this holy grail mascara.

Today is a great day for beauty nerds!

Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara (it’s only the go-to mascara of celebrities like Alexa Chung and Kate Beckinsale, so NBD), is finally here for a very limited time. Yep, starting April 1 until September 30, Great Lash will be available in all leading department stores, beauty stores, and select supermarkets nationwide.

Why is this a big deal? The mascara has been around since the ’70s, but it was never formally introduced in the Philippines. The Great Lash is a huge deal, because a tube is sold every 1.2 seconds in the world. THE WORLD, YOU GUYS. 

Should you get it? Oh my god, this shouldn’t even be a question. The mascara really does live up to its iconic status. The formula goes on mega thick, which is good if you have sparse fringes, but don’t want to keep layering pigment. The best part about this though is the lash-doubling brush that separates your hair without globs. That, and it’s crazy affordable. A tube will set you back P350, so our suggestion? Hoard as many as you can, because if this mascara will only be available for six months (or until supplies last), y’all can expect total pandemonium at the beauty counters.

My first thought is that hey, are they serious? Does it really cost P350 for this cutie pink and waterproof mascara??? it must be kind of like the ordinary. But hey It’s quite affordable so why don’t give a shot. So on a weekend I headed straight to Maybelline’s Beauty Bar at The Landmark in Trinoma and purchased three tubes (the other two are for my friends). I got to have a free pouch and eyelash curler because I purchased an amount of more than P1,000.00. It’s good isn’t it?.

I excitedly unwrapped the package the moment I got home.

I really love the cute pink and green tube, a very girly colors and its sleek size that can easily fit anywhere in your purse. I also liked the size of its wand, not too big and not too small, enough to cover even the shortest and narrowest hairs in your eyes. It has rich and thick formula and no, it doesn’t smell like wax.

The moment I applied the first coat I really noticed the difference it makes on my lashes! I’m impressed!

See the results? It’s really good! The only problem that I’ve encountered with this mighty one is that it really really lasts long and giving me a hard time removing its traces. I got to use two cotton pads and a cotton bud for each eye to really remove everything. Good thing though, is that even if you plunge into the pool, the makeup stays and won’t leave you looking like a panda because it won’t smudge at all. Really waterproof and stays really long.Two thumbs up!

I am hoping that they will make this available the whole time anyway, I have hoarded enough to last for a year! Haha!

Mac Candy YumYum Review

Hello Loves! I’ve been really obsessed with lippies so I am giving a review on the most raved brand of lippies and that is MAC! 🙂

I’ve tried myself this brand because I really get curious why this is sooo expensive. I bought my first tube thru @luxekis an online seller on IG (IKR! I’m addicted to online shopping! 🙂 )

When I opened the tube, that first thing that I noticed is that it smells like vanilla! It’s really yummy! It has rich and creamy texture and highly pigmented. It also a long long way even if you have eaten your lunch, sip your favorite latte or kiss your man (giggles!). It will leave a very good lipstain after you’ve eaten all your stuff which I find really good because you don’t have to re-apply every now and then. The only thing that you should be reminded when wearing this is don’t forget to put on a lip balm or a petroleum jelly before you apply because it is a bit drying on the lips (I’m sure you don’t want to mess up the look ;-)) which is very common for matte lipsticks.

I never regret that I have tried this brand though its really quite expensive but hey! the quality is really superb. 🙂 It is currently a staple on my makeup pouch. One of my go-to lippes because of the shades versatility. It can be worn when you feel like kind of a girly and when you want to amp up your mood. 🙂 However, the color might be quite intimidating to some because of its intense and vivid pink shade, but for me, I definitely love this and I’m on my second tube!

Color your Stress Away!

Hello there! It’s been a while since I have written here 😐 been too busy with all the stuff thats happening with my personal life. Anyways, between these times, I have discovered a new hobby! A very relaxing and heart warming hobby that will surely bring happiness and sweep your stress away, and that is THE ADULT COLORING BOOK CRAZE! 😊😍😁

At first, I tried the free printables that can be downloaded thru the internet (thanks to those generous bloggers and site 😁😘) and used the available highlighters that I had. Eventhough I really didn’t have the skills and talent of an artist, I really enjoyed choosing colors to use, and bringing life to the illustration. When I am working on the coloring stuff I never got to notice that time really passed. It helped me also to take a break for a moment and forget the not so good thoughts that keeps on bothering me at the time.

And because I have enjoyed doing this, I have found a new hobby! 😁 I bought books from the online sellers and purchased color pencils, color pens to add on my collection! 😁 I am currently working on the book of Fanciful Faces and the Creative Coloring Art Therapy Book.

All-time Classic Favorite: Pond’s Cold Cream

Hey there loves! How’s life goin’ on? Well I hope it’s perfectly fine.😉 Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite makeup remover: the Pond’s Cold Cream!

I got the chance to have my own when I joined Pond’s online contest of before and after pics of their BB Cream (I’ll have a separate review for that!😘) and luckily my entry have been picked. The prize include this cutie little wonder.

I am so used to having waterproof liners and mascara and so it does really matter to me to find a great makeup remover. 

Claims:

The Cold cream Cleanser cleanses the skin deep down without drying it and leaves your skin perfectly clean.
The deep cleansing action removes hidden dirt and make up, even stubborn waterproof mascara.
Its special blend of ingredients softens the skin as they deep cleanse so your complexion feels smooth- never tight or dry.

Ingredients
Mineral Oil, Water, Ceresin, Beeswax, Triethanolamine, Behenic Acid, Fragrance, Ceteth-20, Cetyl Alcohol, Carbomer, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Methylparaben

This is how Pond’s Cold Cream look like:

It comes on a cute bottle with its thick creamy consistency. It also smells good! The signature smell of Pond’s products. 

Usage: Use everyday as part of your cleansing routine. Smooth generously on the skin with the finger tips. Gently remove with cotton wool, or a warm flannel for a truly deep cleanse. For extra freshness, rinse off with warm water.

It is really moisturizing and feels good on skin when applied. It cleanses away all the dirt and even the stubborn waterproof mascaras and liners. You may experience a bit cloudy on your eyes after wiping off but it goes away once you wash it with warm water. I didn’t get to notice if I had breakouts while using this one because I alternately use makeup removers just to know what will really work for me.

Tip: for best results, enjoy applying the cream and make small circles on your face to maximize the moisturizing benefits of the product and to easily dissolve the makeup you’re wearing!😉

Sometimes, classic pieces really do wonders! Like this vintage cream which I have seen on my Mama and Aunt’s bathroom. It is there for decades for a reason. Remember, we have to listen to the old ones!😉 they know better 😊

BOOK REVIEW | To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Reading is one of the things that makes me happy and keeps me busy. 🙂 Today I’m going to write a review about the book, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. A young adult novel published in 2014 and is written bu Jenny Han. The first book to the sequel with P. S. I Still Love You. (credits to Wikipedia)

The simple life of Lara Jean Covey started to whirl when the love letters she wrote for the boys she thought she loved (which were really not intended to be sent to its recipients) has been sent by her playful sister, Kitty.

Lara Jean is close to her sisters Margot (the eldest) and Kitty (the youngest), they call themselves “The Song Girls” in which they have used their deceased mother’s maiden name.

She had a crush on Josh, the longtime boyfriend of Margot. When Josh figured her feelings to him (through the letter she had written), Josh admitted that he first had a crush on Lara Jean. Lara Jean learned that her sister still had a feelings for Josh so she decided to pretend that she didn’t like him anymore. She plotted a fake relationship with Peter Kavinsky (one of the boys she had written a letter) and pretended they are lovers.

After all the pretensions of having a relationship, Lara Jean failed to notice that Peter really do care for her and Kitty spilled the beans for her but its quite late because she pushed Peter away.

I super enjoyed reading this book! It really feels light, good, and makes me turn back to my teenage years. It reminded me the days where I thought having a crush on someone is already falling inlove and the “kilig” feeling of having young love. 😍This is the kind of book that you can never get enough off, and be excited on what else it has to offer. 😂

Sometimes, we always thought that we still have the feelings for that same person we loved for the very long time when actually, its just the memories of being in love is what we are clinging to. When we are in that state of emotion, we fail to open our eyes and hearts to others, because we are clouded by the love we thought we always had. There are times, we never realized that the one person we are waiting for our entire lives, has already arrived and you will just pay attention the moment they are starting to leave us…

Will true love find its way for Lara Jean and Peter? We’ll see on its sequel: P.S. I Still Love You

Revlon’s Super Lustrous Creme – Pink in the Afternoon

Today I am going to write about the “allegedly featured” lipstick of Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and it’s Revlon’s Super Lustrous Creme – Pink in the Afternoon. I got my tube through our yearly Monita-Monita game and listed it on my wishlist. Finally I got to try the most raved feautered lippie! 😍

Revlon Pink in the Afternoon costs ₱450.00. Not bad for a very rich moisture lippie! Its shade is kind of a rosy pink-brown shade with a shimmer. On the first try, I really didn’t like it that much because I am not fond of light lipstick shade, I prefer bolder colors. But then eventually after several times of using it, I learn to love the color it gives my pucker. It is really versatile because you can go to work with it as your nude lippie, for that morning fresh and no makeup makeup look, or you can go a bit of sweeter look by adding a sweep and building up its color, or you can go a bit bolder by layering it with some of your lippies.

What I love about this is its creaminess, moisturizing properties, it won’t dry your lips when you wear them. It’s quite true to its brand of Super Lustrous Creme. You’ll never need to layer a gloss because it has its own shimmer. The only thing that I dislike about it is that it doesn’t stay that long. You have to keep it in your purse the whole day because it easily runs-out on your pout even just taking a sip on your drink. It’s quite sad😕 Also, It’s kindah sticky in feel maybe because of its creaminess.😉 Pink in the Afternoon may look more gorgeous on ladies with a more fairer skin but might look rosy pink on warmer skin tones just like mine.

But over-all I still love this lippie that much that It’s my number 2 MLBB (My Lips But Better) tube! 💋 The number 1 is the Rire Lipe Manicure‘s Pink Brown 😜 Will I purchase this again? Yes, please! 😉 I never mind re-applying the lippie after all it just feels like I’m re-applying my balm.
