Pop to your Heart’s Desire! Pop!😁

Pop! Pop! Pop! That sound that makes your heart smile everytime you pop that bubble wrap. I always feel excited whenever we purchase fragile items because not only of what’s inside but importantly, I know its protected with a bubble wrap. The larger the item, the bigger bubble wrap you’ll get!😄 that shiny plastic filled with tiny air pockets always makes my heart jump 😍 Thanks to the person who invented this and distributed, this simple item brings simple joy to my heart. 😁 Why do I love bubble wraps? The sound of popping air makes me feel like I’m a child again 😁 and for a moment I got to erase all the worries, stress and troubles I got througout the day. The moment I held one, I couldn’t put them down, not until all the air pockets were popped!😄 It makes me calm and busy also, only, without stressing too much of what to do and its effects but just to pop and pop and pop! Simple joys that makes my day.

Sing your heart out! 😉🎤

My singing moments 😍

I’ve always loved singing even when I was a little kid. My uncles, Papa’s friend, kuyas (elderly brothers or cousin or friend) will always trick me with gifts and money just to sing for them. But I was just too shy when I was in my teenage years. I’ve always felt that I will fail hitting notes so, I only sing in the bathroom 😜. Music is my refuge when I am a bit lonely😺. It is also my means of expressing emotions. Whenever you hear me sing songs of loneliness might as well I am feeling a bit lonely too. Singing also is my favorite pass time. I even sing in the car, while ironing clothes, everytime I feel it just to ease boredom or forget the heavy loads I am taking. It also helps me focus on things that I work on. It is also my mood booster! When I am kind of feeling blue, or feel that just woken up, I simply put on my earphones and walah! I feel okay 😀 Now, I am more confident to sing. I never think again what other people might say about my voice or about me failing the high notes. I just sing whenever I want to, singing my heart out!😍

Hello Loves! Today I will be writing about my experience on having braces. During my high school and college days, I lost my tooth due to cavities. I never thought of having dentures because I say to myself that it is unnoticeable (unless I will be smiling really really wide 😁). But time passed and noticed that my teeth are starting to have spaces in between. That’s when I realized, I need to make a move before it’s too late. And the search for a nearby and affordable dental clinic began. My friend suggested UDC Dental Clinic. She told me she had done her research on this clinic and plans to visit this when she’s already decided of having her braces.

When I am finally decided to go to UDC for my braces, I contacted them thru their mobile no. posted on the web. I inquire on how the procedure will go, how much will it cost, how long will it take and immediately requested an appointment for June 4. Apparently, their schedule is already fully booked so, the staff suggested that they also accepts walk-in client. Hubby and I tried our luck of being a walk-in client. When I enter the lobby of their clinic (too bad I didn’t took a picture of the clinic, but I will try on my next visit), I have noticed that many it is full of patients waiting even if it is a weekday. The staff instructed me to register my name on their logbook and sign the form that will serve as my record on their clinic. After accomplishing the forms, she instructed me to sit for a while and wait for my turn. Even if there are a lot of patients it took me at least only an hour before I was called. I entered the clinic and greeted with their very accommodating staff, and noticed that the dentists were young they only had one senior dentist for that shift.  I was then examined by the dentist assigned to me. Her name is Doc Gwen. She explained to me what the procedure is all about, my choices, terms of payment and things I have to know about having braces. I have chosen the traditional metal braces treatment procedure (because Hellllooooo I am on a budget! 🙂) and includes the ff.:

 

Preliminary

• Check-up and assessment of your case

• Taking of panoramic X-Ray

• Taking of impressions

• Taking of photographs

• Bracket Placement

During Treatment (monthly)

• Oral Prophylaxis

• Rubber replacement

• Serial extraction if needed

• Wire replacement if necessary

• Stripping/enameloplasty or tooth reshaping

• Prescription of elastics if necessary

Post Treatment

• Simple Hawley’s Retainer

• Regular Oral Prophylaxis and check-up every 6 months.

 

Here is also the payment scheme.

• For Straight Cash Payments, P5,000 discount is given

• For Half DP (>P15,000), a discount of P2,500 is given

• For Light DP (>P5,000), no discount given

• For No DP (via BPI Credit Card), no discount is given

• Balance is payable within 1 year

 

Inclusives and Exclusives

• Preoperative panoramic x-ray, study cast, pictures, ortho wax, retainers, monthly cleaning and serial/orthodontic extractions are inclusive.

• Non-orthodontic procedures like filling, wisdom tooth extractions, mouth guards, etc., are discounted.

• In cases of debonded brackets, rebonding is free of charge for the 1^st 6 months of treatment only, beyond this, a charge of P200/bracket will be charged.

• In cases of lost brackets, a P300 fee (buccal tube), P200 (metal brackets), P500 (clear), P1000 (self-ligating).

 

Isn’t amazing?! 😏 It’s quite a lot for a P35,000 package. How is that? J So the dentist instructed me to have my panoramic x-ray done and then be sitted for a while and waited 30 mins. so they could prepare the results. After the result has been available, Doc Gwen took a picture of my entire teeth. She then proceeds with casting and putting up brackets one by one. The procedure lasted I guess about 30-45mins only.  And there it is, hello wired smiles!

 

At first, I really felt discomfort because it really is a new experience for me. It’s quite uncomf’table and kindah painful so I take a mefenamic acid (as instructed) to ease the pain. I also put ortho wax to avoid sores inside my mouth. Aaaand, I really cannot eat solid foods L but the good thing is, I can take ice cream as long as I want JJJ. Weeks passed and I started to adapt with the braces. To date, I can now eat solid foods but not too hard and sticky but still, at least I can already eat normal foods JJJ

Rire Lip Manicure Lipstick

Hello Lovelies! How’s the week going on? 🙂 After posting a photo on Facebook using LA Splash lipstick (will be having a separate blog for this! :)) for my LOTD (lipstick of the day), a friend saw this post and suggested to try Rire Lip Manicure Lipstick. She told me that it is waaaaay better than LA Splash. I give it a shot and bought 3 shades (IKR! I’m guilty of being a lippaholic <giggles>) namely the Pink Brown, Warm Peach and Muse Red.

Rire Lip Manicure is a Korean Brand which I don’t have idea where else I can buy aside from my friend. It comes on a cute tube with a cute applicator. It costs  ₱530.00 plus a Shipping fee of ₱90.00.

The seller claimed the ff. characteristics of this cutie little wonder:

• brush your lip mani, Rouge highfix more than ever lipstick
• new concept lip fixer, never remove all day long
• vivid colors 12 hours lasting, real way vivid color, moist watery, the perfect coating,
• waterproof

Ingredients: rosehip oil, avocado oil, macadamia seed oil, apricot seed oil, Vitamin E

The texture of this lippie is really watery moist which is perfect and blendable enough for easy application. The color is so intense that you just need a swipe for the entire day. Also, non-drying but expect a moisturized matte effect after application. Long lasting, water proof, I do not have to re-apply even after eating, drinking and sweating all-day long. (Isn’t amazing?) Kiss proof? Nah! I never tried that. LOL. Warning: once set, you might find it hard to clear it up so, better be careful. The only thing that’s bothering me is its quite small applicator that might find you a bit uncomf’table but then, practise makes perfect isn’t it? So I don’t bother that much compare to its good qualities.

Pink Brown Shade

The shade I love the most! It is perfect for everyday look and its shade is very flattering on any skin tone. It is a light pinkish brown shade that is perfect if you want to sport that chic look. Looks good also when paired with a hot smokey eyes or even just the sexy cat eye. It seems that you were just wearing your natural lip color only, more intensified!

Warm Peach Shade

This shade is an orangey-pink kind of shade. Personally, this one is the least that I used among the three because the shade didn’t blend well with my morena face. Also, it is more challenging to apply this shade. It is harder to blend because the color easily fades and just leave my lips like stained but has intense lined lips. However, some girls may find it goon on them.

Muse Red

This is what you call #fierce red! Super intensified and flatters any skintone. It can also make your teeth look whiter and your face brighter due to its flattering bold seductive red shade. Unlike Pink Brown, this one leaves stain on things you used (e.g., lipstained mugs, water bottles) and there are times that it smudges around my lips, chin and cupid’s bow. Sad. Nevertheless I still like this kind of red shade. Perfect for that sultry look, bare-faced make-up, and instant blooming effect even if you’re lacking sleep writing blogs (just like me!)

Over-all, the product delivers most of its promises and I really love its matte effect. Though I might think twice buying the Warm Peach shade. So, it’s a 2 out of 3 and that’s pretty good. If you want to try these babies here is the contact info of my friend selling these lippies.

Happy chooseday morning loves!

I am still at high and overwhelmed on putting up my new baby! Shawill Liquid Eyeliner

Heeyah! It’s been a steady Sunday! 😀 I am going to write about Shawill’s Waterproof Eyeliner. I have never been a fan of eyeliners before kasi I was so afraid na magmukha akong “panda” o may black eye after sweating! Gash! Alam naman natin ang weather dito sa Pinas 😕 but then my friend told me na I look good when I wear eyeliners so, sige na nga I’ll give it a try! The same friend who told me about the eyeliner suggested me also the brand she have researched. I have brought my first tube at Landmark, Trinoma and its really affordable.It only costs ₱189.00 ( Isn’t amazing?! 😂) and it will really take a loooong time. A tube lasted me for like two months or more. I have tried on other Shawill booth in Watson’s or even the SM Dept. Store pero wala sila nung ganitong eyeliner sa Trinoma lang talaga ako nakakabili. Here is the look of the eyeliner.    The pen type is really good for beginners like me. It’s much easier to control and mas precise ang application for a more natural look. Here’s how it will look like.    And it really exceeded my expectation!😀 Hindi sya kumakalat and it really lasted all day long. Heres how it looks when applied (you might not even notice at all).    Will I buy it again? Yes, ofcourse! Definitely a good buy! Over-all I am very much satisfied witn this product. It is really good for a newbie like me AND at an affordable price! How about you, what are your favorite eyeliners? ☺️

Dream Come True

I am very much delighted to finally start my own blog! yay! It’s been my dream to put up my own blog but I never had the guts to make due to some issues bothering me. So here I am, very much willing to share every thoughts, reviews about the makeups I have purchased, the books I have read, the online shop that I transact with, the playlists/songs I enjoyed, the movies I have watched, the foods/restos I have tried, the places visited and basically anything and everything under the sun! I named this blog a “Box of Treasure” because back in my high school days, I used to keep a box full of letters, memorabilias, souvenirs from the special persons/places in my life.

Writing is really my second love that’s why I have dreamed back then to become a journalist. But then things turned out differently so here I am, trying to fulfill that dream even in this little way of blogging. The topics I will discuss here is based on my personal opinion and/or experiences. So, if you might find something that’s not so into you, oooops! sorry! but just I have said, this will be my personal blog, thus, my personal opinion. I just wanted to share my personal views on things the way I see them.

So to start with, I am Mary Louie Balagso, Louie to my officemates, classmates and ROWIE to my family and closest friends. My Mama gave me the nickname ROWIE. A 27 year old, happily married and enjoying the professional world in the water industry. They say that I am a tough person but those who knew me personally would agree to me that I too, have its “kikay”, sweet, thoughtful side. I love PINK, lippies (I have lots of them) :), makeups, books (you can leave me anytime just give me something to read! :0), online shopping, shoes, bags, and singing! 😛
